About This Project

The Senior High School (SHS) Scholarship Program is an annual program that was established to address a critical challenge facing many of the children we raised and supported through early education and their transition into the public school system. Although these students performed well academically, many began to drop out after Basic 9, not due to lack of ability, but due to fear of not being able to continue their education because of financial hardship.

For years, students completed Junior High School with uncertainty and discouragement, knowing that Senior High School might be beyond their reach. This reality caused some to lose motivation, while others abandoned school entirely for menial work, early marriage, or other risky paths.

The SHS Scholarship Program serves as a bridge of hope assuring students that hard work is rewarded. Through this program, deserving students from low-income families receive financial and educational support to enroll and remain in government Senior High Schools.

The scholarship covers essential needs such as:

School fees and approved charges
Learning materials and supplies
Basic welfare support to help students stay focused
By removing the fear of “what comes next,” the program inspires students to take their studies seriously, improve their performance, and dream beyond their circumstances. Students now know that excellence, discipline, and perseverance open doors.

Today, the SHS Scholarship Program has enabled 14 of the students many of whom began their journey at Kansanso Learning Center to progress confidently through Senior High School. More importantly, it has restored dignity, motivation, and purpose to young lives.

This program is not just financial aid; it is a promise that education can change a life, and that no child who works hard will be left behind.
